Privacy Policy
What this website knows about you, which is deliberately not much.

The short version
This Privacy Policy describes how Mackup LLC, a Delaware limited liability company operating under the mackup.io brand, collects, uses, stores, and shares information through this website.
We built this site to collect as little as possible. It runs no analytics scripts, sets no cookies, loads nothing from advertising networks, and has no forms that submit data anywhere. The only information we intentionally receive is what you choose to email us. The rest of this page spells that out properly.
What you send us
When you email hi@mackup.io, we receive whatever your message contains. Typically that's your name, your email address, your company if you mention it, and a description of your project or question.
Our contact page includes an email helper where you can type your name, an optional company name, and some project details. Everything you type there stays in your browser; the website does not transmit or store any of it. It reaches us only if you send the resulting email yourself, from your own email app. There is more on this below.
Please don't send passwords, payment card numbers, government identification numbers, medical information, financial account credentials, or other highly sensitive personal information in an introductory email. If a project later requires sensitive access, we'll agree on a safer way to share it.
What happens automatically
This website contains no analytics scripts, tracking pixels, or third-party embeds, so the site itself does not record what you do on it.
Like any website, though, the infrastructure that serves it processes basic technical information in order to deliver pages and protect against abuse. That can include your IP address, browser and device information, the pages and resources you request, request timing and metadata, the referring page, error information, and security signals.
That processing happens at the infrastructure level, handled by our hosting provider. It is not something we use to profile visitors, and there is a difference worth naming: it's information the plumbing needs, not information we go looking for.
How we use information
We use the information described above to:
- respond to your inquiry and understand what you're asking for
- prepare a quote, proposal, or project scope
- communicate about a possible or active engagement
- deliver requested services and operate managed systems
- maintain, support, and protect systems
- troubleshoot errors
- keep necessary business and communication records
- comply with applicable legal obligations
We do not use it for advertising, retargeting, behavioral profiling, unrelated marketing, or automated decision-making about you.
How the contact page actually works
Our contact page looks like it has a form. It doesn't, at least not in the way forms usually work. There is no submit button, no server receiving the fields, no database, no form provider, and no spam-filtering service reading what you type.
The helper composes an email draft in your browser as you type. When you click "open in your email app" or "copy draft", the text moves into your own email program or clipboard. Until you actually send that email, nothing has left your device, and we have no idea you typed anything at all.
Once you do send it, your message is handled like ordinary email: your email provider delivers it, and our email provider receives it into our inbox.
Sharing and service providers
We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their independent advertising purposes.
Information may be available to:
- the two of us, Maciek and Michal, who read and answer everything
- our hosting and infrastructure provider, which serves the website
- our email provider, which delivers and stores our correspondence
- service providers reasonably required to operate the website or deliver services you've requested
Hosting on Cloudflare
This website is hosted through Cloudflare Pages. To deliver the site, route requests, improve performance, protect against abuse, maintain infrastructure, and diagnose technical issues, Cloudflare may process limited technical information such as IP addresses, request metadata, browser and device information, requested resources, and security signals.
Cloudflare's own practices are described in the Cloudflare Privacy Policy. We don't control Cloudflare's independent privacy practices.
Cookies, analytics, and tracking
The website's own code sets no cookies, uses no browser storage, loads no third-party scripts or fonts, and includes no advertising pixels, behavioral tracking, session recording, or heatmaps. That is deliberate. It's also why you won't find a cookie banner here: there is nothing to consent to.
If we ever enable an analytics or security feature at the hosting level, such as Cloudflare Web Analytics or a bot-protection challenge, we will update this policy to say so.
How long we keep things
We keep contact inquiries for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, discuss a possible project, prepare a quote or proposal, carry on an active conversation, deliver an engagement, maintain appropriate business records, resolve disputes, and address security or legal concerns.
If nothing comes of a conversation and there's no continuing reason to keep it, we delete it when it is no longer reasonably necessary to hold onto.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures appropriate to the nature of the information and services involved.
We won't pretend otherwise: no internet transmission, storage system, or software service can be guaranteed completely secure, and anyone who promises perfect security is selling something. We aim for honest, careful, and proportionate.
Where information is processed
Because clients and service providers may be located in different countries, information may be processed in the United States and in other locations where necessary providers operate.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live and which laws apply to you, you may have rights such as:
- requesting access to certain personal information we hold about you
- requesting correction of inaccurate information
- requesting deletion of information
- objecting to or restricting certain processing
- withdrawing consent where consent is the applicable basis
- requesting a copy of certain information
Not every right applies to every visitor, but you don't need to work out the legal details before asking. Send any privacy request to hi@mackup.io and we'll handle it in good faith. We may need to reasonably verify your identity before completing a request.
Children
This website and our services are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly solicit personal information from children through this website.
Other websites
This website may link to third-party websites. Those sites are governed by their own privacy practices, not this policy.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the website, our services, our providers, or legal requirements change. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the current version. Our Terms and Conditions cover the rest of how we work.

Questions or privacy requests should be sent to hi@mackup.io. They land with the two people who run mackup.io, not a compliance department, because there isn't one.
